Jeez. I don't think I remember what my first LJ user icon was... Probably an image of a Monty Python Accountancy Pirate from The Crimson Permanent Assurance Company... yeah, it was. Don't have that one currently, will maybe go find it again on google.
I picked my current default user pic because it was the epitome of semiotic_pirate as well as being animated. I like it especially well compared to my other icons because I have special, exclusive permission from the artist who created it to use it here in this journal. Sparkly.
With my new job... I feel especially accountancy piratish:
