Jack Links Jerky... anyone see the advertisement yet? I've seen it three times now and each time it becomes more disturbing. Basically what happens is a bunch of humans are running away from something, with a noise of a thundering stampede. All of a sudden one of the hind members drops, with a fluffy dart sticking out of his butt. The lights dim and come back on to show them all with tags in their ears, yellow herd identification tags to be exact.

All I thought was Jack Links Jerky IS PEOPLE! ARRRRGGHHH! flashbacks from Soylent Green and I was immediately reminded of a picture I took a while back of a freshly shaved sheep over at Uconn's Isolation barns.

And then, while passing the Abercrombie store in the mall... There was a t-shirt with that faded look that's so popular now on one the male manikens with a RED A on the upper left chest area, same font that Laverne from Laverne & Shirley used to use. Yeah. A red a. They must not have had that book assigned when/if they went to school.

Let's recap - Jack Links Jerky is People, and Abercrombie is shouting to the world that Adultury is Good.

Oh, yeah, you're going to start getting snail mail from a whole mess of those companies, some of them more sneaky than others to get you to call or contact them... Underhanded is more like it. The first hundred times it happened I didn't mind - but I'm getting to the point where if I see one more of them I'm gonna scream. And of course, I am going to get another flood of them as this May gets closer.

Good luck with them. :) They were the most up front out of the bunch in their advertisement, that I remember. The only surprise was the change in company name - processor of the loan once it goes through - threw me off, but the people were just as nice on the phone when I explained that I was going back to grad school and needed a further deferrment.

Now to get ready for that wedding. S & I decided I should do some candid shots while I'm going around enjoying myself during the reception. Uh huh. Kodak fully charged and I'm going to look like a piece of that christmas ribbon candy in the outfit I got.

And... speaking of outfits - I popped into that Torrid store that you mentioned! Very nice selection. There was this gorgeous brown dress toward the back of the store, with copper accents!! It made me feel like I was going to star in a James Bond flick, heh. Didn't get it yet though.

... I don't think so. I'm going to be out of state on vacation till Thursday. Currently I'm also in a state of militant disinterest in that sh*t 'cause I don't have the energy for it. My major task list has been reduced by one item, but the others are looming rather vastly on my horizon.

Talk about mixed feelings ...
