As an update to the question posed inthis post of a twitter forward.

Finally, after using "big rig parade CT September 2008" as my search parameters on Google, I found this website. When you scroll down, almost all the way down, to the bottom of the page you will find a listing for September 20th:

Worlds Largest Truck Convoy for Special Olympics

The World's Largest Truck Convoy is a one-day celebration that helps raise money for Special Olympics. This year's Truck Convoy, a project of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, will take place on Saturday, 20 September 2008. Information about routes and registration forms for 2008 will be added soon, so check back often.

For more information, contact the individual in your state or province, or Anna Berke, Law Enforcement Torch Run Specialist, Special Olympics, +1 (202) 824-0268 or aberke@specialolympics.org.

A search for "World's Largest Truck Convoy" gives these results. Of most interest is the first link, which is the Special Olympics WLTC for SO website.

I find it interesting that, even though I witnessed this event, it isn't listed on the 2008 Contacts List… Where the heck did people find out about this if they weren't already a supporter of Special Olympics?
