Finally gave in to my acquisitiveness and pre-ordered a Wii (Galaxy) console bundle online - it comes with two controllers/nunchucks, a controller charging station, and Super Mario Galaxy.
After this? Wii Fit. For Sure.
Anybody have a Wii yet? What's it like? What games do you enjoy the most? What games do you abhor - and why?
As long as the picture is accurate... otherwise I'm going to be really pissed at B&N for misrepresentation.

There's a game like air-hockey on there that's a blast to play with a friend. The target-shooting game is fun, cow-riding game is okay, and the fishing game is a nice novelty. There's also a game along the lines of "Where's Waldo" in which you try to spot a particular Mii or pairs of Miis in a crowd. I really like that game, but most of my friends aren't too keen on it, for some reason. (Maybe I'm just weird.) Luckily, that one is just as fun playing solo.
For playing by myself, I'm a big fan of an under-appreciated game called "Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure." (It's difficult to find in stores, but it can be found online.) It's a puzzle-adventure game, in which you get past obstacles by doing things like solving puzzles and using found objects in creative ways. It can be frustrating because you have to time a lot of things just right, but the game is charming enough that I don't mind when I die and have to try again.
Another fun one is Wario Smooth Moves. It's kind of hard to describe... It gives you a series of action challenges, and you have to figure out what it is you need to do and then perform it within a matter of seconds. For example, it may tell you to hold the controller sideways with both hands (like bike handlebars) and then tell you to PUMP UP THE BALLOON while showing a figure standing in front of a pump. You'd have to pump the controller up and down, like you're holding the pump handle, to pump up the balloon on screen. It's harder than it sounds, and the ever-increasing tempo of the music and frantic actions require will get you pretty worked up! Even though it's only for one player, it's a hilarious game to play when people are over-- It's so funny to watch each other do it! (Especially if there's alcohol involved!)
EDIT to add: When you get it all set up and connected to wi-fi, message me with your Wii friend code, and I'll give you mine. Then we can trade Miis and send Wii-Mail messages. :)
