Homework woes, partially gone!

Well. I finished the first homework handout! (at quarter to ten am.)

Last night I received the other book that we could use for the class (finally) around 5pm. This book was suggested as an alternative to the PhD level book for those of us just going for our masters degree. However, the bookstore wasn't carrying it. I decided early last week to order it, and expidited the shipping even, however I had to order it from a used bookseller through amazon (the amazon offering mightn't have been shipped for two weeks) and they didn't get it out of the shop for at least two days, no USPS on sunday... GAH!

wow! scuba dogs!

I'm watching the sci-fi channel... ripley's believe it or not:

some guy designed and built a scuba suit (tank, air bubble with vest plus a radio for convo/commands) for his dog so he could take him with him! not only did it work, he and his dog have been on numerous dives together around the world.

Shelley, aka Smelly, aka Melly-Belly (now also being called Mog after a children book character of the same name because of similar habits) has just now, for the first time ever in all I've known her, licked a plate clean of leftoverness. Brie and apple stuffed chicken and a sauteed mix of pattypan squash with vidalia onions. she licked all of the plate clean and chewed a bit on the leftover pattypan bit too. wow!

and I thought the other one, who likes mango, was weird!
