OLD LADY DAY

_peregrinus_ recently reported on something she calls an Old Lady Day... a few people bringing over unfinished craft projects, with the hope that being around others and setting aside time, these things will actually get done.

A few friends of mine had/have a similar idea - great to hear so cool a term for it too! heh. Now all I have to do is learn a craft or two. I want to be able to knit and sew. I've had classes in the latter (long long ago) and almost learned the former as a child. Craftiness calls to me. A dream of mine is to make a lot of my own clothing and knitted products. I keep meaning to go over to the local JoAnn Fabric and sign up for classes in each. *sigh* I think I'd be more likely to actually do it (and go to the classes and such) if I had a cohort - anybody? Bueller?

I guess the whole idea is to find my bliss (again). Things that I find blissful (that I carry a lot of passion for) are kayaking, planning a great get-together, my crabbyolbastard, and helping people. In a similar fashion I believe that the aforementioned creative craftiness could result in feelings of satisfaction.

Earlier today - while ordering a Tempur-Pedic bed which I SO need thanks to a snoring someone who shall remain un-named - I stumbled upon the Wells Fargo site. Glad I did because the Employment section sounded damned near perfect. With my recent stint in the information/identity security and financial planning experiences it was right up my alley. And, like I was hoping for, there are so many locations to choose from to apply for.

OH. It wouldn't be a terrific and fabulous day without a bit of cheese to tide us all over. I have three movies recorded from today that I plan on watching with a large bowl of popcorn and as many volunteers (of you all of course) I can coerce/convince to come over...
