Well, the comment was meant to be ironic, considering what a sucky job I'm doing of finishing my own dissertation.
But I hear you about taking a break. I took one between MA and PhD and I'm glad I did, but I'm also glad to be (hopefully) becoming an academic and not have to do that standard "job" thing anymore. If I shift my expanding butt to finish the work, that is. *Sigh.*
