The only thing in here where I think the writer tends to have a point is the "talk in code" section, but the author doesn't really understand the communication failure...so he can't really explain it, and instead writes it in a way that makes it sounds as though it's a woman's fault.
Here's the issue: Men and women think differently. Not better, not worse, just different.
In fact, crazy as this sounds, men have the ability to think about absolutely nothing at all for extended periods of time. (C'mon. Doesn't that explain a lot?)
When someone asks a guy "What are you thinking about right now?" there is a fair chance that the honest answer is "Absolutely nothing." If a woman doesn't realize that men can do that, then she might interpret the answer as meaining "Something I want to keep secret from you" (in fact, that's a logical conclusion).
The simple fact is the guy hasn't been thinking of anything, he's given an honest answer, and he also assumes she is capable of "thinking of nothing" so she'll understand.
This isn't anyone's fault. It's just something that men and women have never understood about each other.
Next up: An explanation of why men don't stop to ask for directions when they're lost. (No, really. There's a perfectly good reason.)
