Borders sells the Sony E-Reader, which everyone admits is a dog. The plan by management is that people could go into Borders and download books through their readers, which is akin to Blockbuster Video's idiotic plan for its DVR killer. Considering that the Kindle offers a lot more functionality and a lot more selection in its E-books, the odds of Borders dumping the Sony reader and moving to the Kindle is about the same as the Dallas Cowboys winning the World Series this year.
