I hate food poisoning!

Well folks... be glad you weren't at my house Saturday night. We ate in, had bread with mushroom pate and brie and caviar... Must have been the caviar. I am only now starting to feel better, having had symptoms on the list of "go to the hospital" without having gone to hospital. Yah, I looked, after I started to feel better, and realized if I hadn't been smart enough on my own to push fluids (and having been an EMT helped) then I might've been in some serious trouble.

Lucky for me classes start tomorrow! Heh.

Before that, part of Thursday, all day Friday and partway into Saturday LJ was down, at least for me anyways. ::sighs::

How did you become an EMT? Is there a training program or do you get hired somewhere and they say "GO! Save the people! They need you, Captain Heroic!"

Actually, I was trained as a combat medic for the army... and while in training took and passed the national EMT registry exam.

I realized that I have a problem with authority figures - or at least not getting any respect and treated like an unthinking subhuman automaton. yah.

I didn't respond well to their training tactics, knew it was a mind fck, and basically just got myself through it and got out when I could.
